Kempty Falls
Waterfalls are among the must visit places at Mussoorie and Kempty Falls is the most endearing one. Surrounded by greenery, the fall has a small pond and it is amazing to watch its waters splitting into five streams. Other enthralling waterfalls in the region include Mossy Fall, Bhatta Falls and Jharipani Fall, each offering some majestic views.
Lake Mist
The spot is fast grabbing attention of the tourists for showcasing the nature exquisitely. Boating is an additional attraction and there are some good restaurants as well. Mussoorie Lake is another nearby attraction, admirable for the spectacular views of Doon Valley.
Lal Tibba
Perfect for sightseeing in Mussoorie, it is the highest point in Mussoorie and has an old lighthouse. The tower houses a telescope that allows one to have breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Gun Hill, the second highest peak here, is also popular for amusing sightseeing and a ropeway ride.
Everest House
Among the charming colonial structures is this house offering some great views and a trek route to the Everest Point. Cloud End Bungalow is another British building with amazing peace in the atmosphere. Many other colonial structures can be explored while walking on The Mall.
Company Garden
A good picnic spot, the garden has artificial waterfalls and some amusement rides. Municipal Garden with an artificial lake can also be visited.
Other attractions in Mussoorie include Happy Valley, Jawahar Aquarium, Himalayan Weavers (popular for handmade environment-friendly products like shawls and scarves from silk, pashmina and wool), St. Mary’s Church (oldest in Himalayas), Tibetan Buddhist Temple (first of its kind in India), Jwalaji Temple and Naag Devta Temple. Adventure activities like nature walking (at Camel’s Back Road), trekking, hiking and rock climbing can also be enjoyed with the right tourist information in hand.
