Ranchi Hill
A picnic spot as well as an adventure spot for trekkers and rock climbers, Ranchi Hill offers panoramic views of the city below. Pahari Mandir devoted to Lord Shiva is an added attraction visited by pilgrims in huge numbers.
Ranchi Lake
Located at the base of Ranchi Hill, this beautiful lake is an ideal and peaceful picnic spot. One can enjoy boating and relish the splendid views of the hill.
Nakshatra Van
One of the most interesting and must visit places at Ranchi, it is a park mainly known for representing different zodiac (nakshatras) signs using the trees associated with each. Other highlights of the place include flower garden, musical fountain, water tank and medicinal plant garden.
Jagannathpur Temple
Located on a hilltop, the temple has a striking architecture and is host to the annual Rath Yatra Festival. Sun Temple and Devri Temple are other worthwhile temples in the city.
Birsa Jaivik Udhyan
This zoological park is only few miles from Ranchi and is worth visiting for being home to tigers, lions, deer and monkeys and rich flora.
Rock Garden
Counted among the most admirable attractions of the city, this garden is made out of rocks and features an iron bridge, waterfalls and a variety of sculptures.
Tagore Hill, Mukta Crocodile Breeding Centre, Kanke Dam, Deer Park, GEL Church Complex, Tribal Research Institute and Museum and McCluskigunj are other attractions recommended for the tourists.
