"Kurseong" more famously known as the "land of orchids" is a small yet a beautiful hill station situated in the Darjeeling district and lies about 45 kms from Siliguri (the gateway to North Bengal) and 32 kms short of Darjeeling. It is hardly a two hours journey from Siliguri by the Hill Cart Road. Well, everyone must be well aware of the beautiful destinations in Kurseong, such as the famous Dow Deer Park, the Devi Mandir situated in Giddhapahar, the Ambotia Shiv Mandir , St Jhon’s Church, and of course the beautiful white Orchids admiring the throughout the hills and the aromatic makaibari tea!! But one more thing which one cannot certainly afford to miss is the beautiful sunset at Eagle's Crag (Durpin Dhara). It is a pity that not many people know about the existence of this place and experience the magnificent sunset whose beauty cannot simply be explained in words.

Once in Kurseong, missing outon the local delicacy, the tasty momos is a strict No! No! One of the thingswhich you must do is to hog into the hot momos. The pleasant weather outside isjust perfect for the hot momos served with the steaming soup! It is obviousthat you will get momos in every nook and corner of the street, but do try outthe momos at Kurseong Tourist Lodge. The cafeteria overlooking the magnificent viewover the hills and the hot cup of tea and a plate of momos is certainlysomething which would be a sin to miss on these!!!
