Also known as Vambanad Bird Sanctuary. Situated on the banks of beautiful Vambanad, Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is definitely a treat for bird watching enthusiasts. The sanctuary houses a number of migratory birds like the Siberian Stork, heron, egret and teal.
Vembanad Lake
One of the largest fresh water lakes in Asia, Vembanad Lake is rich in flora and fauna. The lake has an island known as ‘Pathiramanal,’ which can be accessed via boat.
Bay Island Driftwood Museum
The museum houses a striking sculpture of crocodile. One can visit the museum all the days of the week, except Monday.
Cheriyapally
