Also famous as Gandhi Ashram, this place was built in 1929. It was a favoured placed of Mahatma Gandhi and has a stock of books and pictures. It is also a centre for meditation. 

Set up by Catherine Hillman and famous as Sarala Ashram, this ashram works for women empowerment and is a home for orphaned poor girls and women.

It is named after the famous Hindi poet Sumitranandan Pant and has thousands of books in glass cabinet. Each year a poetry symposium is held here. 

Spread over 208 hectares of land, Kasauni Tea Garden is one of the premier tea producing places in the country and produces high flavour export brand Giria Uttaranchal tea. 

Located on the Kasauni-Almora road on the way to Someshwar, it can also be viewed through adventure activities like adi kailash trek. Natural waterfall named Rudrahari falls and the Shiva temple and caves adjacent to it are one of the major tourist attractions in Kasauni. 

A planetarium cum internet café, Planet show offers excellent view of stars and planets when the sky is clear. It is open to all till 11pm throughout the week.
