Kamtanath Mandir
It is believed that during the exile, Lord Rama prayed Kamtanath to fight against devils. Locals believe that after seeing the deity (Kamtanath) in the temple, one must go around the temple and do a 'parikrama' around Kamadgiri hill.
Sfatik Shila
It is situated in a densely forested area in south Chitrakoot of Satna District. This beautiful spot is famous for its two huge rocks that have the footprints of Lord Ram.
Hanuman Dhara
It is a spring located on a steep hillside in Chitrakoot. You must climb a steep flight of 360 stairs to reach this place. There is a statue of Lord Hanuman, on which water from this spring falls.
Lakshaman Pahari
It is situated half way down the Parikrama path of Kamdgiri and the myth is that Lord Lakshaman (younger brother of Lord Rama) stayed during exile.
Sita Rasoi
As the name suggests, it is the kitchen that Sita used. It is situated on the peak of the Hanuman Dhara Hill.
Other important attractions of Chitrakoot are Gupt Godavari, Bharat koop, Ram Ghat, Janaki Kund and Sati Anusuiya. Chanting of hymns, evening arti (prayers), sweet smell of incense will make you feel truly divine.
