Champhai Valley
Popularly called ‘the fruit bowl of Mizoram’, the valley has extensive span of kiwi plantations. One can thoroughly relax admiring the beauty and soothing ambiance of the valley.
Rihdil Lake
The heart-shaped holy lake has crystal clear water and amazing tranquillity that can spellbind anyone’s attention. Located few miles from the town and inside the Myanmar area, the lake can be visited with special permission.
Mizo Hlakungpui Mual
Also called Mizo’s Poet Square, the monument commemorates some of the famous poets of the region and is among the must visit places at Champhai.
Mura Puk
A collection of six caves that were dug by the local residents to save themselves from the attacks of a giant eagle called Mura. It is indeed an interesting site to be at.
Murlen National Park
Located few miles away from the town, the park is home to tigers, leopards, giant squirrels, Himalayan bear and a variety of birds and medicinal plants.
Thasiama Seno Neihna
A plateau located atop a hillock, it is a wonderful place for the trekkers and is associated with the love tale of Thasiama and a fairy called Chawngtinleri.
Manghaia Lung
Interesting places are these huge stone structures with human and animal figures engraved on them.
Other popular places for sightseeing in Champhai include Fiara Tui (an interesting water body with source at Tan Tlang Mountain), Lianchhiari Lunglen Tlang cliff (popular for interesting folklores), Kungawrhi Cave (once believed to be the secret way to the underworld), Lamsial Puk (cave) and Tiau Lui River. Vineyards of Hnahlan are also nearby. Tourists can explore beautiful flowers and butterflies at many of these places. Another wonderful attraction is the breathtaking view of Myanmar Mountains, especially in the early morning.
