The fort belongs to the royal family of Bikaner. Raja Rai Singh was the founder of the fort. The main entrance is called the Suraj Pol (Sun Gate). The fort consists of various palaces and courtyards viz. Karan Mahal, Dungar Niwas, Chandra Mahal & Badal Mahal. The fort also includes a museum that houses private memorabilia of the rulers. The entire visit takes you through the grand history of the royalty. The place has a rare distinction of being an unconquered fort.

The Lalgarh palace is made out of red sandstone and is touted as an architectural work of art. Maharaja Ganga Singh built this palace. The palace is partially renovated as a hotel and a museum. Sri Sadul Museum is situated inside the palace.

Laxmi Niwas was the palace of residence of Maharaja Ganga Singh. It is also located in Lalgarh. Currently, the palace houses a luxury hotel.

Bikaner is a land of several temples. The famous ones are Shivbari temple, Bhandeshwar Temple, Sandeshwar Temple and Laxminathji Temple. The Shivbari temple is devoted to Lord Shiva. The idol is made of black marble and has four faces. Bhandeshwar and Sandeshwar are important jain temples.

Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum is known as the best museum in the state. The museum has rare terra-cotta ware, miniature paintings, coins and weapons from Harappan civilization.

Havelis of Bikaner are another masterpiece of its kind. The city is flocked with several beautiful havelis. The famous ones are Rampuria Haveli, Rikhji Bagri ki Haveli, Daga Chowk Haveli and Bhairondan Kothari Haveli.
