Trip to Shimla takes the travel lovers to the hill station of Shimla.Shimla is a popular tourist destination and hill stations in India, as it is also known as the "Queen of Hills”.

It is located in the north-west of Himalayas at an average altitude of 2,205 metres (7,234 ft), the city of Shimla, draped in forests of pine, rhododendron, and oak, experiences pleasant summers and cold, snowy winters.

Apart from road connectivity,Shimla is well connected to the city of Kalka by train ,which is one of the longest narrow gauge railway routes still operating in India.

One of the best ways to experience your trip to Shimla is to board toy train to Shimla which starts from Kalka and takes a little over 5 hours from Kalka to Shimla.

Itinerary Details

Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Delhi – Shimla [350 Kms/9 hrs]

Early morning, we would pick you up from your convenient place and drive directly to Shimla.

Alternatively, in case you wish to enjoy a ride on the toy train to Shimla, you may leave Delhi a night before at about 10:30 pm in the evening for Kalka railway station.This way, you would board the train to Shimla early in the morning, while the car will drive further to Shimla to pick you from Shimla railway station upon your arrival at Shimla.This train journey on your trip to Shimla, which crosses about 102 tunnels between Kalka and Shimla will leave an indelible mark on your memory to cherish rest of your life.

On arrival at Shimla check into the hotel.

Rest of the day at your own leisure. Enjoy dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Shimla Trip

On the second day of your trip to Shimla,after enjoying breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing of Shimla.

Visit the famous temples, churches, hills, museum, Kufri, Chail, Fagu, shops & malls during Shimla tour.

Later, return back to hotel in the evening for dinner & Overnight stay.

Day 3: Shimla - Delhi

On the last day of your trip to Shimla, after breakfast ,leave for a visit to Naldhera, Mashobra & Tattapani.

Late drive to Delhi, on arrival transfer to your place for onwards destination.

Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.
