The Siniolchu Lodge is located above the city and Enchey monastery is situated above thelodge. It was built about 200 years ago by Lama Drupthob Karpo and later in 1910 during the reign of Sidyong Tulku, it was recreated. Designed like a Chinese pagoda, it is inhabited by 90 monks, who follow the Nyingma order.

This recently built park is also known as Rustomji Park. It houses rare species like red pandas and Himalayan bears. There are also several types of plants in the park. But the USP of this place is the view of the mountains that surround the park.

Also know a Bulbulay, this zoo is spread over 205 hectares. It has red pandas, barking and spotted deer.

One of the most well-known centres where Buddhism is researched is NRIT. There are statues, Thankas, Buddhist icons, and a collection of manuscripts on the philosophies of Lepcha, Tibetan and Sanskrit.

This exhibition centre hosts a year round exhibition of more than 450 species of rare and endangered orchids available in the Himalayas. April - May is the best time to visit this place.
