Famous as ‘Chiriyaghar,’ the National Zoological Park is unfolded in about 176 acres. Home to more than 127 animal and bird species, a visit to this zoo helps encounter Chimpanzee, Spider Monkey, Zebras and Hippopotamus. The sight is colourful and variety of migratory birds like storks, ducks and peafowl are magnificent.
The National Zoological Park is home to endangered special and a conservation breeding centre for animals like Indian Rhino, Swamp Deer, Red Jungle Fowl, Royal Bengal Tiger and Brow Antlered etc. The most spectacular and unique scene offered by this zoological park is the Lion-Tailed Macaque, the elephant that plays harmonica, Indian Gazelle and Leopard cat.
