Nagpur Central Museum, also known as Ajab Bangla and Madhyavarthi Sangrahalay, was constructed by the British way back in 1863. The museum is hone to many rare and interesting artefacts, some of them collected from the sites of Indus Valley Civilization. Apart from artefacts, the museum has other exhibits in the form of coins, sculptures, inscriptions. The 6 galleries displaying these artefacts include Art, Archaeology, Anthropology, Geology, Industry and Natural History.
Among the most popular exhibits at the museum are the stuffed and preserves birds, mammals and reptiles. The visitors can find great deal of information about the history and biodiversity of Central India at the museum. There is a library within the premises and a newly introduced cafeteria. The museum has been recently renovated and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. You may get to attend international film shows, lectures and other events at the museum.

Located near Civil Lines, the museum is centrally located in the city and can be accessed by well-maintained roads. The city of Nagpur is connected to major town and cities in the region by National Highways 6 and 7 and Asian Highways 43 and 46.
Railway:
Nagpur Railway Station is about a km. from the museum and is an important station for many express and other trains. From station, you can hire an auto-rickshaw or a cycle-rickshaw to reach the museum.
Airway:
About 8 km. from the museum is Nagpur’s International Airport sharing connectivity with many national and international locations. Hire a taxi or an auto-rickshaw from the airport for the road journey.
