A haven for adventure lover, visitors can enjoy variety of water-sport activities like parasailing, motorbike ride, banana ride, swimming and boating. Popular for its scintillating beaches, ancient forts, hot springs, swaying palm trees and majestic mountains, Murud-Janjira has many temples and churches spread across the place.

The small fishing village, Murud is famous for its Janjira fort that is stationed in the middle of the sea. Visitors can take a boat ride to reach the fort and know the history of Maharashtra from the hired guide.

Visitors can enjoy leisure activities like horseback ride, bullock cart ride or simply a romantic walk on the Murud beach. Tourists can explore other nearby attractions like Nandgaon, Kashid Beach, Ahmedganj Palace, Garambi Falls, Kasa Fort and the Janjira Caves.

Connectivites

Road: State owned buses are available to reach Murud-Janjira from nearby cities like Pune, Mumbai and Borivali. Tourists can also book a cab from their place to Murud. The road condition is extremely good.

Railway: No direct trains are available to reach the place. Visitor can come upto Panvel or Roha by train and take a bus to Murud.

Airway: Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (located about 157 km.) is the nearest airport to reach Murud-Janjira. Tourist can take a cab from the airport.

I planned a South India tour from Chennai to Kochi. I asked from many different travel companies but I got the best and cheapest offer by 'Way to India'. That was two weeks travel plan. In the second week we visited amazing natural attraction. All happened at exactly fixed itinerary. We traveled with a comfortable panoramic mini bus and the bus driver (Mr. Ram) was very kind and talented who could manage a good restaurant for dinner and lunch every day. Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.
