A relatively small yet urban park, Lumbini Park is a place dedicated for relaxation and amusement. Nestled in the heart of the city, this park has a variety of flowering plants, lush green grass, an array of cacti and rocks. Sprawling in about 7.5 acres, this is a wonderful place for people of all age groups and interests.
The park houses a huge and eye-catchy statue of Lord Buddha. With a lot of things dedicated for fun and entertainment of families available in the park, some of the dramatic highlights of the Lumbini Park are 2D laser show, eye-popping musical fountain, crazy cars and boat riding.
Many visitors come to this place to see the vibrant laser show (7:15 p.m. on weekday and 7:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on weekends) and breathtaking musical fountain show (6:30 p.m.) every evening. Boating is one of the amusing factors that pull a number of visitors to this place.
Another important thing that makes this park popular is its proximity with the HussainSagar Lake, Birla Mandir and Necklace Road.
