Road:
The valley is only about 6 km. from Gulmarg (about 48 km. from Srinagar) and can be best accessed by trekking a stupendous route. Pony rides offer another thrilling way to cover the distance. Even more invigorating is the gondola ride that allows fabulous sightseeing of the region.
Railway:
The nearest railway station is at Srinagar, about 66 km. away. Hire a taxi from the station to reach Gulmarg and continue the trip to Khilanmarg.
Airway:
Srinagar also has the closest airport, with both domestic and international connections. The distance of about 61 km. from the airport can be travelled in a taxi.
