Though, named after a demon from the Hindu mythology, Jalandhar (or Jallandhar) Beach boasts of heavenly beauty and extreme serenity. Flanked by rows of palms that adorn the face of the beach, it is among the best places in India to laze around and relax under the sunny sky. Sunbathing over the fine white sand is one activity you would love to indulge in for hours. The beach is also safe for bathing as well as swimming and some exciting water sports can also be enjoyed.

The top attraction close to the beach is a stone shrine dedicated to the demon called Jallandhar over a small hilltop. It houses the face sculpture of the demon that was killed by Lord Vishnu. Another temple in the close proximity and dedicated to Goddess Chandrika attracts the visitors. You can easily take the much-desired break from chaotic lifestyle with a trip to this splendid beach.
