Designated asa popular Beach resort in Orissa, Gopalpur Beach is located about 16 km. fromBerhampur. The view of deep blue water, glittering golden sands, cool breezeand swaying palm trees, carves a lovely image of Orissa.

Known bestfor parasailing, swimming and surfing, Gopalpur Beach offers amazing sunriseand sunset views. The place is excellent for passionate photographers, seeking anatural setup. Located amidst palm and casuarina trees, Gopalpur beach is atrue paradise for sea worshippers.

Delicateitems made of seashells are sold at the beach-side stalls, which can be bought assouvenirs for decorating homes. Salted cashews are sold at an affordable price inthe stalls. Tourists can enjoy the lip smacking local sea food dishes in one ofthe nearby restaurants. Fresh green coconuts are available to quench thirst.

Visitors can explorethe nearby attractions like ChilikaLake, Mahuri Kalua, Aryapalli Beach and Taptapani etc.

Connectivites

Road: Gopalpur beach can be easily reached by state transport buses and private vehicles from Berhampur. The road condition is good. Also, regular buses from Puri, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar are available.

Railway: Berhampur Railway Station (located about 16 km.) is the nearest railhead to reach the beach. Regular taxi and buses are available from the station to reach the beach.

Airway: Bhubaneswar Airport (located about 166 km.) is the nearest airport to reach Gopalpur Beach. Regular flights are available from the major cities of the country. Tourists can hire a cab from outside the airport.

I planned a South India tour from Chennai to Kochi. I asked from many different travel companies but I got the best and cheapest offer by 'Way to India'. That was two weeks travel plan. In the second week we visited amazing natural attraction. All happened at exactly fixed itinerary. We traveled with a comfortable panoramic mini bus and the bus driver (Mr. Ram) was very kind and talented who could manage a good restaurant for dinner and lunch every day. Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.
