Dubbed as ‘The Niagara Falls of India,’ Chitrakoot Falls is the most stunning attraction of Chhattisgarh.Indravati River that flows down from the Vindhya Mountain ranges gave birth to this falls. With the height of about 95 ft. Chitrakoot Falls is designated as the largest waterfalls in India.
The falls are visited by number of tourists from around the world, especially during monsoon. Covered by dense and emerald green forest, Chitrakoot Falls seem to be in the shape of a horse-shoe (resembling the original Niagara Falls). The surrounding area around the waterfall appears stunning during rainy season and therefore attracts many adventure and nature lovers.
The migratory and colourful birds around the falls, enhances the beauty of Chitrakoot Falls. The burbling sound of the waters and sweet melody of the trees, make the environment cheerful and absolutely serene.
Along with the picturesque beauty of the falls and surrounding areas, visitors can also explore the nearby attractions Sati Nadi, Udanti and Barnawapara(famous wildlife sanctuaries), Sirpur and many more.

I planned a South India tour from Chennai to Kochi. I asked from many different travel companies but I got the best and cheapest offer by 'Way to India'. That was two weeks travel plan. Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.
