Abodeof Lord Krishna, Bet Dwarka is a tiny islet located about 30 miles away from Dwarka. A heaven for pilgrims, Bet Dwarka is said to be the place where Lord Krishna met his dearest friend Sudama. The journey from Dwarka to Bet Dwarka is interesting and exciting as one has to take a rowing boat or a motor boat ride to reach the spot. While sailing through the turquoise blue water, visitors can get a breathtaking view of rare yet marvellous bird species and enriching natural beauty surrounding the journey.
The heavenly Dwarkadish Temple standing tall in the middle of the bet symbolizes the pure love of Lord Krishna and Rukamani in the Vedic era. The temple houses a giant yet impressive gold platted idol of Krishna. Dwarkadish Temple has two gateways – Swarga Dwar and Moksha Dwar. The morning and evening Aarti in the temple spreads serenity and spirituality in the atmosphere of the temple. It is believed that Bet Dwarka is the holiest pilgrimage spot for Vaishnavs in the country.
