A must-visit for every enthusiastic wildlife explorer, Bannerghatta National Park accommodates wild creatures like tigers, panthers, lions, white tiger, bison, sloth bear, jackal and leopard and birds like quails, partridges, jungle fowls, ibis, storks, parakeets, minivet and drongo. Apart from the main zoo, there are other attractions like a butterfly park, a museum and an auditorium featuring wildlife film show.
Among the most popular activities in the park are the safari trips to explore tigers, lions, herbivorous animals and bear. Visitors can also enjoy the recreational activities like boating (which costs INR 50 per head or INR 250 for full boat hire). Long and short treks and nature walking trips can also be enjoyed by paying additional money. There are facilities like restrooms and restaurants in the park.

Connectivites
Road:
Located about 25 km. from the Bangalore city centre, the park is accessible by state run ordinary and Volvo buses. Route numbers 365, 366 and G-4 can be used for this purpose. Taxis and cabs too are available to reach the park.
Railway:
Bangalore has three railway stations named Majestic, Cantonment and Yeshwanthpur, each located few miles away from the national park. Those travelling by train can easily access the park from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai.
Airway:
Bangalore International Airport caters to the domestic and international air travellers and is located about 81 km. away from the park. Taxis and cabs are available at the aerodrome to reach the park.
