Also known as Dargah Sharif, this holy shrine is of great reverence among the Muslims and is visited by the devotees from all faiths. Located at the footsteps of the rustic Aravalli Hills, it is home to the Tomb of Sufi Saint Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti, who is believed to be the God’s messenger and fulfils the wishes of one and all.  The huge complex around the shrine accommodates many historical buildings, monuments and mosques.

Two huge degs (cauldrons) that are used for cooking pudding are among the key highlights. There are numerous shops at the bazaar from where one can purchase offerings in the form of chaddars (holy sheets) and flowers. The annual Urs Festival hosts great celebrations at this holy place.

The city of Ajmer is home to many other popular attractions like Akbar’s Palace and Museum, Taragarh Fort, Ana Sagar Lake, Foy Sagar Lake, Adhai Din ka Jhonpda and Nareli Jain Temple.
