Check in at the booked hotel and relax for some time. Later, you may spend the remaining day at leisure visiting some of the most acclaimed tourist places in Chennai.
Popular as the ‘Gateway to South India’, Chennai showcases Tamil culture in a mesmerizing style. Classical Carnatic music, spellbinding dance forms like Bharatnatyam and delicious spice-rich cuisines are among the biggest treasures to explore. The city also hosts arrays of beaches, temples, churches, museums, art galleries, wildlife places and much more.

Day 2: Chennai SightseeingFinish your breakfast before we take you for Chennai sightseeing, starting with Gandhi Mandapam (opens 09:00 a.m. to 05:30 p.m.). Built as a series of memorial, it consists of beautiful temple-memorials dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and other eminent personalities.
From there, visit Kalakshetra (opens 08:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; photography and videography strictly prohibited; entry fee INR 100/500 for Indians/foreigners), The Centre of Fine Arts, which offers classes as well as live performances in the invigorating art forms like Bharatnatyam.
Kapaleeshwarar Mylapore Temple (opens 05:30 a.m. to 09:00 p.m., closed from 12:00-05:00 p.m. and every Monday) is the next site. Built in 7th century, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva and flaunts the stunning Dravidian Architecture with elaborately carved gopurams (gateway towers).
From there, visit the beautiful Marina Beach (not apt for swimming or bathing), India’s longest natural urban beach and explore a number of monuments and statues alongside.
Return to the hotel for night stay.
Day 3: Chennai – Tirupati [133 km.]The road trip to Tirupati begins after breakfast.
Tirupati tour package from Chennai is among the popular pilgrimage tours in South India as the holy city in Andhra Pradesh is home to Tirumala Venkateswara Temple dedicated to Lord Balaji or Venkateswara (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu).
Millions of pilgrims from all over the world visit the city which enjoys a pristine location in Tirumala Hills and have treasures of exotic flora and fauna all around. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax.
Later, visit Shri Venkateshwara Temple (opens 02:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.; common entry may require you to stand in queue for hours or you may pay INR 300 for special darshan; dress up traditionally) which is an alluring specimen of Dravidian Architecture constructed way back in the 3rd century.
Pray at the temple and get the delicious Tirupati Ladoo as prasadam.
You may explore other temples in the city or visit the local markets that are full of souvenirs.

Day 4: Tirupati – Kanchipuram (108 km.) - Mamallapuram (67 km.)Finish breakfast and join us on the road trip to Kanchipuram, one of the seven holiest hindu cities and home to enthralling temples with superb architecture.
The city is also famed for hosting silk weaving centre where the beautiful Kanjeevaram Silk Sarees are made.
On arrival, visit the notable temples like Ekambareshwarar Temple (dedicated to Lord Shiva, featuring a tall gopuram and counted among Paanch Bootha Sthalams or Temples representing Shiva as 5 natural elements as it represents the element Earth), Kailasanathar Temple (dedicated to Lord Shiva and boasts of magnificent sandstone carvings) and Kanchi Kamakshi Temple (dedicated to Goddess Parvati and has gopurams with gold overlay work). You may also visit the local shops to buy silk sarees and scarves.
Later, continue the drive to Mamallapuram and check in at the hotel on arrival.
Have dinner and stay in comfort at night.
Day 5: Mamallapuram SightseeingHave breakfast and get ready to explore the town of Mamallapuram.
Mamallapuram, also known as Mahabalipuram, is the riveting world of unbeatable rock-cut architecture and unique carvings that continue to defeat the signs of aging.
The Group of Monuments at Mamallapuram on the coast of Bay of Bengal were constructed starting in the 7th century and are acclaimed as the World Heritage Site.
Start with the fascinating Shore Temple (INR 10/250 for Indians/foreigners; INR 25 extra for videography; opens 06:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m.). It is a marvellous structure made of granite and houses a Shiva Lingam with other attractions being Lion Monolith and Miniature Shrine.
From there, visit Pancha Ratha, the 5 enchanting rock-cut structures dedicated to Pandavas brothers from Mahabharata.
Later, visit Descent of The Ganges, a gigantic bas-relief exhibiting stupendous carvings on monolith boulders.
Depending on the time available, you may visit other attractions like Krishna’s Butterball (a huge gravity-defying rock), cave temples and Mamallapuram Beach.
Stay overnight at Mamallapuram.
Day 6: Mamallapuram – Chennai (57 km.)After breakfast, we begin the road trip back to Chennai.
On arrival, we help you transfer to the airport or railway station from where you board the scheduled flight or train.
