India Art Festival – Celebrating the Creative Excellence of Highest Standards
For a country having eternal association with art in different forms, art festivals are nothing less than grand celebrations. Among the top events dedicated to artistic excellence in India is the India Art Festival held annually at Mumbai. The previous edition of the festival managed to attract more than a hundred thousand visitors from across the globe. One of the most anticipated events of the year, the festival is ready with its fourth edition in 2014.

Eminent artists and artist groups not only from India but also from many other countries will put their work on display. Scores of booths and stalls featuring exhibits in the categories like paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs, prints, installations and digital art will be set up for the real admirers. The festival exclusively focuses on the contemporary art themes that are subject of appreciation all over the world.
Another highlight of the India Art Festival 2014 is the two-day symposium titled ‘Conversations’. Speakers ranging from artists, cultural theorists, art historians, architects, poets, playwriters and theatre persons will be addressing the audiences on various topics of art and exhibitions. The festival is also a great medium for the visitors and art collectors to interact with the artists. One may also get the opportunity to attend workshops during the festival.

The festival is scheduled from November 27-30, 2014 with the following program:
November 27 – Inauguration and VIP Preview (only by invitation)
November 28 – Open for public (11:00 a.m.-08:00 p.m.)
Conservations – November 28-29 (02:30 p.m.-04:00 p.m. and 04:30 p.m.-06:00 p.m. each day)
Visitors’ Information
Venue: Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai (Artists’ Pavilion at the 2nd Floor with 85 booths for individual artists of artist groups. General Exhibition at the Ground Floor with 50 booths and video lounges)
How to Reach: The venue is just about 15 km. from the Mumbai International Airport and only about 7 km. from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. Taxis and auto-rickshaws are conveniently available at each of these points.
