2013 Schedule
The fair this year begins on November 9 and will conclude on November 17. Different celebrations will begin at 09:00 a.m. in the beginning and may continue as late as 09:00 p.m. in the evening.
The Venue
Pushkar, one of the holiest Hindu cities with the world-famous Brahma Temple and sacred Pushkar Lake to its credit, hosts the annual camel fair. Admired for its unbound sanctity, the city offers many old temples, marvelous sunset views and stimulating camel safari experiences.
How to Reach?
Pushkar can be accessed by road from Ajmer, Jaipur and other cities of Rajasthan. Railway stations at Pushkar and Ajmer and international airport at Jaipur makes it convenient to reach the place during the fair.
Accommodations and Other Facilities
It is a once-in-the-lifetime experience to book accommodations in the desert camps set up in and around Pushkar. There is no dearth of hotels, guesthouses and bed & breakfast facilities. Restaurants here strictly serve vegetarian food and alcohol is prohibited.
