Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Arrival at Bangalore and SightseeingBangalore, the state capital and the IT hub of India, has its own share of extravagant heritage which marks the apt beginning of this tour. Arrive at Bangalore Airport or railway station and meet our representative. Get an overview of the tour as we transfer you to the hotel. Relax and spend the remaining day at leisure with a number of wonderful options worth exploring.
You may choose among Bull Temple (07:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 05:30 p.m. to 08:30 p.m.), Bangalore Palace (open 10:00 a.m.-05:30 p.m., fees INR 210 for Indians and INR 450 for foreigners), Tipu’s Fort (10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m., entry fee INR 5 for Indians and INR 100 for foreigners, Sunday closed) and Vidhana Soudha (State Legislative Assembly, open from 09:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m., closed on Sunday). Overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 2: Bangalore – Shravanbelagola – Hassan (about 183 km.)Hassan, the much-loved experimental canvas for the Hoysala Empire rulers, has incredible temples flaunting the glorious Hoysala Architecture in its close vicinity. Enjoy the road trip to Hassan and stop at the Jain pilgrimage center called Shravanbelagola, famous for its 58 ft. high Lord Gommateshwara (Bahubali) stature (world’s highest monolith). You are advised to be in decent clothes. Reach Hassan and check-in at the hotel. Later visit the twin temples of Lord Vishnu, Chennakesava at Belur and Hoysaleswara at Halebid. Be ready to get spellbound by the rich architectural splendor with highlights like carved pillars and sculptures. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Hassan – Mysore (about 118 km.)Mysore, the erstwhile capital of Wodeyar Dynasty and designated as one of India’s cleanest cities, is the next destination of the tour. As you arrive in the city, don’t wait anymore to ascend the Chamundi Hills where the temple of Goddess Chamundeshwari leaves you stunned. Pray at the temple and enjoy the breathtaking views before transferring to the hotel.
Later, visit Mysore Palace (10:00 a.m.-05:30 p.m., fee INR 40 for Indians and INR 200 for foreigners; cameras not allowed inside; for exterior photography, the fee is INR 50 for Indians and INR 200 for foreigners; strikingly illuminated from 07:00 p.m. to 07:45 p.m. on Sunday and national holidays), where the royal exhibits and grand architecture would overwhelm your senses. Depending on time, you may visit Sri Jayachamarajendra Art Gallery (open 08:30 a.m.-05:30 p.m., fee INR 20) and Dev raja fruit and vegetable market. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Mysore – Srirangapatna – Mysore (about 22 km. one side)Visit Ranganathaswamy Temple (entry only for the Indians) located in the holy town of Srirangapatna which itself is located on an island in River Cauvery. Spend some time enjoying the visual delight of the splendid architecture. Later visit Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary (08:30 a.m.-06:00 p.m., INR 50 for Indians and INR 200 for foreigners) for a fabulous birding adventure. Explore the likes of kingfishers, darters, spoonbills and other avian wonders and you may also enjoy a boat ride (extra charges).
Get back to Mysore in the evening and visit the brilliantly maintained Brindavan Gardens (10:00 a.m.-09:30 p.m., INR 15/5 for adults/children). Do enjoy the famous fountain show and stunning sunset view at the park. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Mysore – Kabini (about 75 km.)Kabini, the thrilling tiger reserve around River Kabini inside Nagarhole National Park, is well-known for wildlife sightseeing and photography. Join us on the road trip to Kabini and on arrival; check in at a hotel/resort amidst the alluring nature and wild. Take some rest and later join the afternoon safari (03:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m.) in a jeep (INR 700 per jeep for Indians and INR 1,500 per jeep for foreigners, additional fee for mandatory guide). If the time permits, enjoy a coracle ride on the river. Overnight stay at Kabini.
Day 6: Kabini SightseeingWake up for early morning safari (06:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m.) for another sessions of exploring the rich biodiversity of the place. Return and have breakfast before you take some rest. Get ready for the final jungle safari in the afternoon or you may wish to relax and enjoy the nature around. Overnight stay at Kabini.
Day 7: Kabini – Bangalore (about 220 km.) - DepartureOn this final day of the tour, transfer to Bangalore Airport or railway station to start the connecting journey back to home.
