Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Delhi – Haridwar (210 km. in 5 hr.)Meet our tour representative at the pre-decided point in Delhi. Get an overview of Haridwar tour and begin the journey by road. Arrive at Haridwar and check in at the booked hotel. Haridwar (Hari Dwar or Lord Vishnu’s Gateway) is one among the seven holiest Hindu cities (collectively called Sapta Puri). According to the Hindu traditions, ashes of a deceased person after his/her cremation must be immersed in Ganga at Haridwar to let the departed soul attain moksha (salvation).
Begin sightseeing in the afternoon and first visit Mata Mansa Devi Temple located on Bilwa Hill. It is believed that Goddess Mansa fulfills wish of every visitor to this shrine. Enjoy a thrilling ‘Udankhatola’ ropeway ride to reach the temple while having incredible views of Ganga and the entire city. From here, visit another hilltop temple which is dedicated to Chandi (Chamundi) Devi and located over Neel Parvat (hill). It is the place where Goddess Chamundi rested after slaying the demons Chanda, Munda, Shumbha and Nishumbha. Gear up for another ropeway ride to reach this temple. You may buy combined ticket to visit the two temples by paying INR 230. Please note that carrying leather items to these shrines is considered bad.
Day 2: Haridwar - Rishikesh - HaridwarOn the second day of Haridwar tour, wake up to a wonderful breakfast and get ready for an excursion to Rishikesh, the Yoga Capital of the World and an adventure hub known for rafting and several other activities. Popular as the Gateway to Himalayas, it is the starting point of pilgrimages to Chota Char Dham destinations (Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri) and several other temples of Uttarakhand
Have fun crossing the suspension bridges called Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jhula (named after the two brothers from the great Indian epic Ramayana). It is no less than an adventure to cross these with stunning views of green hills and River Ganga flowing beneath. Explore the extremely peaceful ashrams and temples and find a variety of interesting handicrafts and souvenirs at the local markets. Get back to the hotel in Haridwar for the overnight stay after dinner.
Day 3: Haridwar - DelhiBid adieu to Haridwar after breakfast as we begin the journey back to Delhi. Haridwar tour ends as we drop you at the desired destination in the national capital.
