Day 2: Guwahati – Shillong (Assam – Meghalaya) (120km. – 3 hr. approx)Have breakfast before you visit the Navagraha Temple located on the Chitrasal Hill. Day 3: Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Shillong (Meghalaya) (54 km. – 1 hr. approx one side)In the last leg of your Guwahati Shillong Cherrapunjee tour, drive to Cherrapunjee which is acclaimed as a part of the earth’s wettest region.
On the way, visit Elephant Falls, a 3-layer waterfall with extremely pristine views. You will actually find your mind and body completely refreshed while admiring the beauty of this natural wonder.
Also visit Shillong peak, which at the height of about 1,965 m. offers breathtaking views of the city and invigorating countryside.
On arrival at Cherrapunjee, explore Mawsmai Cave which introduces one to the mesmerizing world of Northeast India natural caves. Get thrilled discovering the nature’s craftsmanship in the form of unusual rock formations as you pass through the narrow cave channels. Visit Mawsmai Falls (also called the Seven Sisters Waterfalls), seven-segment wonder falling from about 315 m. height and Nohkalikai Falls (340 m. high, the tallest plunge-type falls in India).
Have lunch and later visit Thangkharang Park, offering spectacular views extending to Bangladesh. Also explore Khoh Ramhah, a cone-shaped rock better known as Pillar Rock, and the three-tier Kynrem Falls (India’s 7th highest waterfalls with the height of about 305 m.).
Return to Shillong for the overnight stay.
Day 4: Shillong – Mawlynnong - Shillong (Meghalaya) (100 km. – 3 hr. approx one side)Finish the breakfast before you visit Mawlynnong, renowned as the cleanest village in Asia.
Popular as the God’s Own garden, the village boasts of attractions like a living root bridge, plantations, rivulets and waterfalls and some very fascinating vantage points.
Return to Shillong for the night stay.
