Welcome aboard to the exciting Dharamshala Tour !!
Upon arrival at Chandigarh airport or railway station, our representative would welcome you and take you to your hotel

Chandigarh is Union territory and joint capital of Punjab and Haryana. Chandigarh was designed by famous architechts like Le Corbursier, Pierre Jeanneret, Jane Drew and Maxwell Fry.
After getting refreshed, go for local sightseeing of Chandigarh. Visit Rock Garden, Botanical Garden, Rose Garden Sukhna lake, The Open Hand, The Capitol Complex.
Overnight stay at Chandigarh.
Day 2: Chandigarh - Dharamsala (270 Km / appx. 6 hrs.) After early breakfast, proceed to Dharamshala. The scenic route through Dhauladhar ranges takes you to Dharamshala, headquarters of Tibetan Government in exile.
Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Rest of time free for leisure. Overnight stay at Dharamshala.

Places for sightseeing in Dharamshala
- Bhagsunag Falls : Housing the famous Bhagsu Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, this tourist arrtraction is a must visit place and is located about 2 Kms from Mcleodganj.
- Dal Lake : Not to be confused with Dal lake of Srinagar, this lake which is situated about 2 Kms from McLeodganj market and is very serene situated along the Deodar trees.There is also a Shiva temple nearby which is also quite famous .
- Aghanjar Mahadev Temple : Located near the scenic Khaniyara village, located about 8.5 Kms from Dharamshala, this temple has a mythological significance as it is believed by the locals that Lord Shiva has appeared at this spot to provide a boon to Arjuna of the Mahabraratha fame.
- Kangra Fort : Located about 20 Kms from Dharamshala, Kangra Fort is believed to have been built by the Royal family of Kangra Kingdon in about 4th Century B.C.One can have magnificent views of Banganga and Manjhi rivers from the fort.Also remember to visit Maharaja Sansar Chand Katoch Museum located nearby fort .
- Namgyal Monestry : Located within the Tsuglag Khang Complex ,Namgyal Monestry if home to His Holiness Dalai Lama and is one of the largest Buddhist Monasteries outside Tibet.(The Monastery may be visited between 4:30 am and 8:30 pm.)
- Gyuto Monastery : Associated with Tantrik meditation, this monastery is located in McLeodganj.One can have beautiful views of snow clad peaks from the monastery .
- Norbulingka Institute : One of the institutes established to preserve Buddhist culture ,art and literature, Norbulingka Institutes primarily works to secure jobs aand education to Tibetans in the area.
- Jwalamukhi Devi Temple : Among the 52 Shakti Peeths of Godess Durga, Jwaladevi Temple is believed to be located where the Godess Sati’s tongue had fallen.It is one of the most revered places where there is no idol inside the temple and the Goddess is worshiped in the form of blue flames continuously emanating from the rock fissures .
- Hanuman – ka – Tibba : This is the highest point in Dhauladhar Ranges of Himalayas with a height of about 18,500 ft. above mean sea level.It is believed that Lord Hanuman had rested here for a while when he was coming back after fetching Sanjivani booti.This is recommended only for those who have higher level of skills in mountaineering and not for amateurs.
Day 3: Sightseeing of Dharamshala and McloadgunjAfter breakfast, leave for a full day sightseeing of Dharamshala and Mcleodgunj.

Offbeat Things To Do At Dharamshala
- Enjoy piping hot Maggie noodles at local shops near Bhagsunag Falls.The unique combination of cool climate coupled with waterfalls and piping hot Maggie is a must try thing while you are at Dharamshala/McLeodganj.
- Experience a Gothic feel by visiting St. John in the Wilderness church located just at the start of McLeodganj .The church was constructed in year 1852 and also has an old graveyard besides a memorial of the British Viceroy Lord Elgin.
- If you are an adventure lover, do not miss the Triund Trek .Triund trek is an easy and small trek and must be undertaken for all adventure lovers visiting Dharamshala.To undertake this trek, take a cab/taxi from Mcleodganj and drive upto Galu Devi which is the starting point of the trek and from where it takes about 3 hours to reach Triund.It is sure to be a refreshing walk amongst rhododendron and oak trees.
