The small town of Mashobra is barely 13 km. away from Shimla, and is home to one of only two Indian Presidential retreats, with the other being in Secunderabad in Telangana. Being a part of the Shimla Reserve Forest, Mashobra boasts of magnificent natural gifts in the form of cedar, oak, and pine trees. Rhododendrons are fairly common here as well.
