Bikaner Camel Festival

Bikaner Camel Festival is organised every year by the Department of Tourism, Art and Culture, Government of Rajasthan . It is held in the month of January, wherein you can see the desert's ships in the historical city of Bikaner.

Bikaner Camel Festival starts each year with much fanfare in the backdrop of the famous Junagarh Fort of Bikaner.A colourful procession with locals adorned with equally colourful attires ride the beautifully decorated camels.After the procession, the festivities of Bikaner Camel Festival shift to the famous Polo ground where several interesting events are organised such as the best camel breed competition, the tug-of-war contest between the indian and foreign guests, camel dances and acrobatics.

In the Bikaner Camel Festival, camels adorning colourful saddle cloths display amazing footwork in tandem, dancing gracefully and perfectly to the slightest direction of their trainers. Visit the Bikaner Camel Festival and you would love the experience.

Itinerary Details

Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Arrive Delhi

On Arrival at Delhi Airport/ Railway station, meet and assist by our tour representative & transfer to your hotel.

Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Delhi

After a leisurely breakfast in the hotel proceed for full day sightseeing of Old & New Delhi including Laxmi Narayan Temple, Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple, India Gate, Parliament House, Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, and Humanyun’s Tomb.

Return back to hotel in the evening for dinner & overnight stay the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi - Mandawa [By Road Approx. 5 hrs.]

After finishing breakfast in the hotel on time drive to Mandawa. On arrival, check into the hotel.

After lunch visit Mandawa, it has beautiful frescoes, havelis and mansions. Mandawa castle is one of the finest castles of Rajasthan, is now converted into hotel and house of collection of armoires, costumes of ancestors, ancient coins and many other interesting items are kept in museum.

Return back to hotel in the evening for dinner & Overnight stay in Mandawa.

Day 4: Mandawa - Bikaner [By Road Approx. 4 hrs.]

After a healthy breakfast in the hotel, drive to Bikaner. On arrival, check in at the hotel.

In the after visit the fort founded by Raja Rai Singh, Lallgarh Palace, the museum, Bhanda Sagar Jain and Deshnoke Rat temple.

Return back to hotel in the evening for dinner & Overnight stay at hotel in Bikaner.

Day 5: Bikaner

After having breakfast this morning, spend full day in enjoying camel Festival.

Here, the Camels show an amazing footwork, dancing gracefully to the slightest direction of their trainers. Bridal, jewelled necks, jingling anklets and long lanky camel shadow on dusky sands cast a magical spell.

In the evenings enjoy the jubilant skirt-swirling dancers, fire dance, and the dazzling fireworks light makes this desert city more beautiful. Return back to hotel for dinner & Overnight stay in Bikaner.

Day 6: Bikaner - Jaipur [By Road Approx. 6 hrs.]

After enjoying breakfast in the hotel, drive to Jaipur. On arrival, check in at the hotel and relax.

Evening free to explore this colourful city or you can go for shopping also. Enjoy Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7: Jaipur - Agra [By Road Approx. 5 hrs.]

After an early breakfast check out from the hotel proceed for an excursion to Amber Fort.

Enjoy elephant ride at Amber Fort. Later visit to Hawa Mahal, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and the list is endless. In the afternoon on time drive to Agra, on arrival, check in at hotel. Enjoy dinner & Overnight stay in Agra.

Day 8: Agra - Delhi [By Road Approx. 4.5 hrs.]

This morning after breakfast in the hotel proceed for city tour of Agra starting with Taj Mahal & Agra Fort.

In the afternoon explore the Agra’s rich heritage of handicrafts and drive back to Delhi. On arrival, transfer to Airport/ Railway Station to board the flight/train for your onward destination.

Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.
