Leh Ladakh tour takes you through the rugged terrain of the highest desert of the world.Sandwiched between the towering peaks of the great western Himalayas and Tibetan plateau.

Ladakh is the highest, least populated and presumably the most inaccessible region in India. The name derives from Ladags meaning 'high passes' and its rugged and arid, corrugated landscape of ridges, twisted and exposed vast geological strata,huge snow-capped peaks, dark gorges and wide valleys offer one of the most spectacular views in the whole country.

Best time to visit Leh Ladakh is between June and August.

This is because Leh Ladakh during these months experiences its summer.It is during this period that the famous Sindhu Darshan and Hemis Festival takes place in Leh Ladakh.

Yet there are those for whom interestingly months of December to February is the best time to visit Leh Ladakh; If anyone wish to experience the Chadar Trek on frozen Zanskar river.

Itinerary Details

Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Arrive Leh

On arrival at Leh, meet with our local assistance & then transfer to the hotel. Check in the hotel and relax. In the late afternoon short walk in the City of local market, visit to Shanti Stupa & Sankar Gompa. Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Leh

After finishing your breakfast proceed for sightseeing including Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery & Stok Palace Museum. After a hot lunch in the hotel, visit and Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Point and drive back to hotel, en route visit Spituk Monastery. Enjoy dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Leh - Khardung La - Leh

After enjoying breakfast in the hotel drive towards Khardung-La (90 kms round trip), which is the highest motorable pass in the world (alt: 18,380 ft.). On the drive while coming back, enjoy the views of the Indus Valley and the endless peaks of the Zanskar range. Rest of the day free at your own leisure. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Leh Departure

After breakfast on time transfer to the airport to catch your flight for back home.

Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.
