Later visit Cubbon Park (entry fee for few sections) and Lal Bagh (entry fee INR 10 with additional parking fees), known for attractions like lakes, aquariums, museums and more. Day 2: Bangalore SightseeingContinue the city sightseeing after breakfast and visit Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum (10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m., entry fee INR 40), an exciting venue for the science lovers. You may visit Tipu’s Fort (10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m., entry fee INR 5 for Indians and INR 100 for foreigners, Sunday closed), also known as Bangalore Fort, a marvellous structure adorned with pillars, arches and balconies. Day 5: Mysore – Srirangapatna – MysoreDrive to the holy town of Srirangaptana, located on an island formed by River Cauvery. When you get back to Mysore by evening, it is the perfect time to visit Brindavan Gardens (10:00 a.m.-09:30 p.m., INR 15/5 for adults/children). Day 6: Mysore – MadikeriGet ready to explore the tropical heavens of Western Ghats as you drive to Madikeri, the capital of Coorg, a popular South India hill station. Day 7: Madikeri and Coorg SightseeingHave breakfast before we drive you to Abbey Falls (09:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m.), the nature’s very special craft amidst lush greenery. The waterfall is accessible on foot by covering the distance of about 1.5 km. from the parking lot. Carry umbrellas and beware of slippery stones during monsoons. Later visit Omkareshwara Temple (06:30 a.m. to 12 noon and 05:00 p.m. to 08:00 p.m.), which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and surprisingly has Islamic architectural style. Spend the remaining day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8: Madikeri – Hassan (about 110 km.)Leave Madikeri after breakfast to reach Hassan by road and transfer to the hotel on arrival. Take some rest and visit the enchanting temples of Chennakesava at Belur and Hoysaleswara at Halebid, both dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Built in Hoysala Architecture, the temples have exquisiteness written all over. Make sure you follow the Hindu traditional and remove shoes when inside the temple complex. You may also visit Shravanbelagola, the Jain pilgrimage site featuring the world’s highest monolithic, the state of Lord Gommateshwara (58 ft. high). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 9: Hassan – Chikmagalur (about 61 km.)Today, drive to Karnataka’s coffee land Chikmagalur after breakfast. The calm town with utmost scenic beauty is sure to leave you mesmerized. Check in at the hotel on arrival and spend rest of the day at leisure. The possible options include coffee estates, gardens, waterfalls and enchanting vantage points. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10: Chikmagalur SightseeingHave breakfast, we take you to Mullayanagiri Hill, the highest peak (about 6,330 ft.) in the region. The journey to the top is full of scenic surprises. Later visit Kalahatti Falls, an interesting sight with water falling on three stone-carved elephants in the close vicinity of a beautiful temple. Day 11: Chikmagalur – Mangalore (about 151 km.)/ Bangalore (about 243 km.) for DepartureHave breakfast and drive to the airport at Mangalore or Bangalore to board the flight back to home. The tour ends.
