Flying at an altitude of about 10,500 feet above the mean sea level, the journey of Badrinath Yatra by helicopter starts at Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun, Uttarakhand and takes the Yatris to the shrine of Shri Badrinath.

Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Arrive at Dehradun

Arrive at Jolly Grant airport or Dehradun Railway Station in Dehradun.

Check in at hotel

Overnight stay at hotel.

Note that we can arrange your airport pickup and drop and stay at hotel on extra cost basis. This service is not a part of this package cost

Day 2: Badrinath Yatra by Helicopter

Early morning at about 10:20 am reach Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun.

At about 11:00 am, the helicopter shall take off and leave for Badrinath Shrine.

Once you have taken off from Dehradun Helipad, the first sight you would have would be that of otherwise huge mountains appearing dwarfs as you look at them from Helicopter.

Another sight which will attract your attention would be the emerald green water of the Tehri Dam.

After about 55 minutes of flying time you would reach Badrinath helipad.

When the chopper lands at Badrinath helipad, car shall be waiting for you.

Car shall take you from Badrinath helipad near to the temple.

Our representative shall take you to temple and get you VIP darshan at the temple.Later reach back to the helipad for the return journey.

Arrive back at Sahastradhara helipad.Travel back to hotel.Checkout and leave for your onward destination.

Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.

Travel Tips For Badrinath Yatra By Helicopter

Best season to visit Dehradun to Badrinath by Helicopter is in the month of May and upto 20th June.After 20th June it generally starts raining heavily and thus upto about 20th September time is not appropriate thereafter to fly to Badrinath by Helicopter.

Later, after 20th September upto the closing of Badrinath Temple, you may visit Badrinath by Helicopter.
