Badrinath Yatra

Badrinath Yatra take you to the pious Hindu shrine of Badrinath, which is considered the holiest of the four important shrines (Char Dham) in Garhwal. It is located at a breath taking altitude of 11,268 ft. on the banks of the Alaknanda

The temple is ensconced between the snow-capped Nar and Narayan peaks of the Himalayas.

Adi Shankarcharya (509-477 BC) is believed to have built the temple and installed the idol of Lord Vishnu here in the 8th century. Contiguous to the temple and scattered around the region are several thermal springs - Tapta Kund, Narad Kund and Surya Kund, associated with remedial and religious significance.

In fact Badrinath Yatra is undertaken by many to offer oblations to their departed ancestors also known as Pitra Tarpan.

Itinerary Details

Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Delhi - Haridwar [220 Kms/5 hrs]

Arrive at Delhi Airport / Railway Station where our representative shall meet you and assist you in your drive to Haridwar.

On arrival check into the Hotel, Afternoon visit sightseeing including Ashrams and temples of Mata Mansa Devi and Mata Chamunda Devi, Temple of Mata Vaishno devi etc.

Evening time we will take you to Har ki pauri for famous Aarti of holy Ganges.

Later return back to hotel for dinner & Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Day 2: Haridwar - Joshimath [270 Kms/08-09 hrs]

After an early breakfast in the hotel, drive to Joshimath via Devpryag, Srinagar (Garhwal).

Stopover for lunch at Srinagar, then continue drive to Joshimath via Rudraprayag, Karnpryag, Chamoli, and Pipalkoti.

Reach Joshimath by late evening.Upon arrival at Joshimath check-in into the Hotel.Dinner & Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Joshimath - Badrinath [45 Kms/3 hrs]

After finishing breakfast on time, drive to Badrinath, Arrive and transfer to the hotel.

Visit Badrinath Temple for Darshan of Lord Badrinath. In evening time visit Mana Village, Byas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Saraswati River, Saraswati Temple, Bheem Pul.

Later ,return back to hotel for dinner & overnight Stay at Badrinath.

Day 4: Badrinath - Rudrapryag [150 Kms]

Early morning visit Badrinath Temple for Darshan of lord Badrinath Ji.Later return back to hotel for breakfast and thereafter drive to Rudraprayag via Joshimath, Karnprayag.

On arrival Rudraprayag, check into the Hotel. Enjoy dinner & overnight stay at Rudraprayag.

Day 5: Rudrapryag - Rishikesh [133 Kms]

After enjoying breakfast in the hotel, drive to Rishikesh, en-route see the confluence of Bhagirathi & Alaknanda at Devprayag.

On arrival, check into the hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6: Rishikesh – Delhi [234 Kms/6 hrs]

After breakfast on time check out from the hotel and drive to Delhi. On arrival, transfer to Airport / Railway station for onward destination.

Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.
