Day by Day itineraryDay 1: Cochin – Munnar

Welcome on arrival at Cochin airport met and straight drive to Munnar. On arrival check into the hotel. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Munnar – Mattupetty

After breakfast proceed for city tour of Munnar set amid Southern India’s most dramatic mountain scenery and the combination of craggy Peaks, Manicured Tea Estates. Crisp mountain air makes Munnar a delightful alternative to the better known hill stations of Tamil Nadu. It is a perennial favourite of Honeymooners’ and offer magnificent scenery and wonderful walks. At Munnar you are free to explore its beauty of nature. Later drive to Mattupetty. On arrival check in at wildlife resort. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Mattupetty – Eravikulam National Park

After breakfast proceed to Mattupetty famous for its highly specialized dairy farm, the Indo-Swiss Live stock project. Later proceed to Mattupetty Lake and Dam, which is a very beautiful picnic spot and enjoy boating in the lake and View Mountains and landscapes. Later, drive to Eravikulam National Park to see rare mountain goats locally called the Nilgiri Tahr, Old Munnar Town and the Mattupetty Dam. Overnight stay at Resort.

Day 4: Eravikulam National Park – Devikulam

After enjoying breakfast visit to a little town with green slopes and gum trees, famous for its beautiful and calm lake, Devikulam (Lake of the Goddess). This town is 16kms away from Munnar, Devikulam hill station is located at a height of 1800 meters above sea level. The hill station is famous for its unique flora and fauna. The hill station has a paradise like feel to it and nature blooms in its best here. Overnight stay at the hill resort.

Day 5: Devikulam – Cochin – Delhi

After breakfast & leisure drive to Cochin airport to board your flight for onward destination. Here your Tour Ends.

I planned a South India tour from Chennai to Kochi. I asked from many different travel companies but I got the best and cheapest offer by 'Way to India'. That was two weeks travel plan. We traveled with a comfortable panoramic mini bus and the bus driver (Mr. Ram) was very kind and talented who could manage a good restaurant for dinner and lunch every day. Thanks to Waytoindia for 10 day in Rajasthan- Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Mount Abu and Ahmedabad. Everything from pickup from Jaipur airport to drop at Ahmedabad airport was very smooth. The hotels booked in Jaipur and Udaipur were amazing. In Jaisalmer the camel ride and Jeep safari though a bit expensive was a good experience. The car and the driver for the entire 10 days was very good. Thanks to the driver Mahesh, who drove the 2 ladies for the entire 10 days safely and dropped us in time for the return flight to Bangalore.
